Don't lemmings follow each and doesn't the first one throws himself/herself off of those cliffs?

Well some of them may have suicidal thoughts when running onto the street without looking left and right first.

Walruses are known to swim into the gaping mouths of Orcas and Great White sharks. Go figure.

Moths and mosquitoes, when those Bug Zappers are on in the summer time in people's back yards/patios.

I remember watching that doco 'The Cove' and the guy who trained the original Flipper was convinced that the dolphin ended up commiting suicide. Of course it can't be proven but it can't be disproved either. But I have no doubt that mammals do suffer emotionally so it's possible. Another of life's mysteries.

None of these are suicide. There isn't much scientific study of ****** suicide, so it's not always clear if an ****** voluntarily and intentionally takes its own life or if it's an accident because they're following (wrongly) their instinct. But I know some insects do give up their own life to protect their brethren. The pea aphid can explode itself when threatened by a lady bug to protect the offspring. Some other insects can do that too.
But there are numerous stories of ******* who probably committed suicide. Like dogs who refused to eat or do anything because they where to sad after their owner died.
