I used to watch, years ago. They would show "snippets" of the major awards - i.e., for actors, from a key scene in the nominated movie. THEN they changed the format, and brought back "celebrities / previous winners," who just did a narration of the actors' part in the movie.. No thanks. Maybe the last time I saw them were from when Halle Berry won for "Monster's Ball" - 2001? Yeah, that sounds about right. I stopped watching tv, basically after 9/11 - in 2001.

I watched some of the award show. I'm glad Spike Lee won his first competitive Oscar, it was long time coming. Don't hate, appreciate. Glenn Close did get rob but it wasn't because of Regina King who was nominated and won for Best Supporting Actress.
