Diane Farr was born on September 7, 1969 in Manhattan, New York, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for The Job (2001), Numb3rs (2005) and Thumb Runner (2019). She has been married to Seung Yong Chung since June 24, 2006. They have three children.

She is also an author. Her first book, "The Girl Code: The Secret Language of Single Women (On Dating, Sex, Shopping and Honor Among Girlfriends)," was released on Valentine's Day 2001. It will examine the lives of several children who escaped from the cult and had to be reintroduced into mainstream society without money, education, or family support. Farr will produce and add artistic opinions.
During her freshman year in college (at Stony Brook) she was crowned Miss New York. She was 19 at the time, the youngest woman ever to hold that title.
She was relieved to leave Rescue Me (2004) for Numb3rs (2005) after being away from her native Los Angeles home and for the physical demands of playing a New York City firefighter.
Diane and her husband, Seung Chung, became the parents of a boy, Beckett Mancuso Chung, on March 16, 2007, in Los Angeles. Beckett, named after Samuel Beckett, weighed in at 8 lb 2 oz and was 22 inches long.
Close friends with NCIS (2003) star Pauley Perrette.
She has been appointed as an ambassador to the Mineseeker Foundation and the Sole of Africa, a campaign dedicated to detecting and removing landmines in Africa. The Mineseeker Foundation's patrons have included Nelson Mandela, Sir Richard Branson, Queen Noor, and Brad Pitt.
