Perhaps it's not proper English, but it follows a structure that is often used (at least here in the US, though of course that's not where FO originates). Such as "Let's talk baseball" or "We're talking politics" The "about" that seemingly should be used is just dropped. Would be interested to know whether it is considered proper English or slang.
Also interesting, though, that the FO quote uses BOTH "talk about" and "talk" to mean the same thing.
