December OCSM of the Month Discussion - Contest Starts Dec 19th

The December OCSM of the Month contest will be starting Monday, December 19th!

Nikki Nova (September 2011), Miss Hybrid (October 2011), and Briana Lee (November 2011) will not be eligable for the December contest. However, any other Official Checked Star Member who has made posts in the month of December WILL be eligable!

How the contest works.

1.) Week 1 is the nomination round. Members who have 50+ votes can nominate an active OCSM of their choice for the voting round in week 2.

2.) Week 2 is where the 10 girls with the most nominations are put in a poll and members with 5+ votes can choose the OCSM they think should be their December 2011 OCSM.

This past contest a discussion came up on what qualities constitute a girl to be chosen as OCSM of the Month. So here's my question to you:

What qualities make up YOUR OCSM of the Month?! Discuss!

What makes a good OCSM?
Someone who takes part on the board regularly.
Someone who makes me laugh.
Someone who makes me horny.
Someone I feel comfortable "chatting" with.
Although there are a number of new OCSM's that have joined recently, I would rather that someone who had been contributing to the board for some time be recognised for helping make the board what it is.

Well then consider that my criteria for nomination: regular participation in general board discussion. Posting random pics of yourself in your personal thread is all well and good, but its really no different than anything I can get from a hundred thumbnail galleries. Getting a glimpse of your personality, sense of humor, likes, dislikes, intelligence, talents... that's what makes the OCSM status valuable to me.

1. The number of boards you post to.
Models and fans have a wide spectrum of interests. Politics, news items, social issues, media. Yes boobies too. When the models mix it up it gets more of us interested in the person.

2. Quality of posts.
Too many times some models just post,"Thanks babe." "Love you." or some sort of smiley face.

3. How often they post.
It doesn't have to be everyday or every week. These models need time to do their work and live their lives. But if you want to be an OCSM you've got to show your face every so often.

I don't think that the number of posts or how recent the model has joined has anything to do with it. Some may need time to get into the swing of things. And it isn't about how hot looking I think you are. I am just attracted to your words. That is my best OCSM.

I see your point that they should be in the mix for OCSM of the year. And they will be right till the last round. I see this OCSM bye into year end contest as a way for new comers to show their stuff. These models are generating new found fans and are working hard for it. I like this format and enjoy everyone's participation.

What qualities make up YOUR OCSM of the Month?! Discuss!

The question is not only what qualities a girl should have to be chosen as OCSM of the Month, but also what could be done to make it really an "OCSM of the Month" contest instead of a "Who has the biggest fan clan" or "what girl can persuade the most people"-contest. I think that is what the discussion always has been about, even in the thread you are refering too. But in order to achieve that you first need to define some qualities, that is correct. I can only repeat what I said in that thread.

- She is generally active on the board. That doesn't mean she has to be active all the time, she has a personal live too. We all have times we don't visite the board that much for some reasons (work, rebuilding a house, sick...) you can't therefore expect these girls to be on the board 24/7. However, when it comes to "OCSM of the Month" I will generally pick a girl I like who has been active during that month. There's no reason to vote for a girl if she hasn't been around, even if I like her a lot. when I'm out of the office no one is going to say what a heck of a job I did during that period. Not that they do anyway.

- She should contribute allover the board, not just in her own threads. Because if she would, she would stick to an own little island and in what way would this be contributing to the entire community of FO? Sure, when it comes to a contest she might raise an army of new members using other channels and this benefits FO, but does that make her a BEST OCSM in general? It's like saying fuck off to everyone else on the board, except when there is a contest where she can win something and she suddenly says hi to all... that only sounds like a bad movie character to me.

- She posts pictures AND comments. It's nice to get to know the person behind the boobies with some nice comments, but sometimes I like the boobies to do the talking, thank you very much. As Bob already mentioned the quality of the posts is to be considered as well.

- A 'good ocsm' is not necessarily a long time member. If she's generally active, contributes allover the board etc I don't see any reason why I wouldn't call her a 'good ocsm' only because she's been around for a shorter time than others. Or in other words, when someone has been a long time on the board there's no reason for her to lay back and relax just because she proved herself a while ago. It's contribution we (I) want.

Although there could be a possible drawback: when a girl wins a OCSM of the Month she could think she is save since she is qualified for the OCSM of the Year contest and backs off, to get active again when the yearly contest starts, selling and bribing with whatever she has. She could be a well deserved winner of the OCSM of the Month contest, but would that make her someone who belongs in the OCSM of the Year contest?

Absolutly not. Sure a model may back off. We've seen it in past contests and it will hapen again this year. The regular folks like us can easily spot this and will not give the vote at the end of the year. I also don't think that this pass would knock out a potential finalist. If I remember correctly 50 OCSM started the contest.

I think Petra is going in the right direction in having 50 posts to nominate. Let the newbies skim the boards and get to know the models before making a decision. All we can do is point out to the newbies why their candidate doesn't qualify and remind them that this is not a hottest babe contest.

We can't avoid the people that blanket one babe with every nomination. I remember last year when cam babe votes went to models that never cam. The same goes for the models that tweet with insta-vote links. There's only so much that can be done to safeguard this. For the most part it was fun for everyone.
