Dangerous Pets...

What do you think about pit bulls, rottweilers, and other dog breeds who seem to have a propensity in their breeding for *******/attacking? I don't blame the dogs; it's their breeding and DNA. That's like blaming a cheetah for chasing a gazelle. It's instinct.

I just watched a story on TV where a pit bull dog, who had been the ****** pet for 3 years, just suddenly attacked the owner and ripped her lips off. In my hometown, as I grew up, there were many pit bull attacks (still are...often where a *** was playing with a ball and the ball got tossed or kicked over a fence by accident - the *** went to retrieve it and was ****** by a pit bull or rottweiler), and of course, in certain parts of the city, it's en vogue to have these sorts of dogs to look "badass" and "thuggish" or "gangsta."

Frankly, I think some breeds should be specially licensed and that ownership of these dogs should be moderated somehow. Some breeds are almost like wild *******. We regulate dogs that have been cross-bred with wolves, for example - why not monitor these other dogs? Cost? Taxes? Too involving?

We hear more and more now about people having bear cubs and tiger cubs, etc. as "pets." They get mauled or kiled by them. I find it appalling and sad (both for the ******* and also for the people who get attacked).

Some idiot in another suburb where I live had a venomous snake, no anti-venom, and was a novice with snakes. God only knows where he bought the ******. It got out of its cage/container, bit the guy, and he died within 20 minutes. The closest hospital with the anti-venom was 50 miles away, and they could not fly him there (by helicopter) quickly enough.

So, sorry for the long post, but:

What do you think about people having potentially lethal/killer pets?
