I was JUST about to start a thread about this in the sports section. I don't really care about football or the Patriots, but this is a whack story, isn't it?

You're a billionaire and the owner of one of the most successful sports franchises in the world. So where do ya go for some strange? A hooker in a seedy strip mall.

This part had me laughing too:

Vero Beach police Chief David Currey, whose agency has been involved in the investigation, told reporters earlier this week that the prostitutes are victims who have been trapped into the trade.

Gosh, what a giant PC snowflake that cop is. I bet he's got #MeToo tattooed on his little mangina.

In IL our new governor has put forward proposals to legalize recreational marijuana and sports gambling, All I need next is prostitution and boy am I set. Someday I hope to be able to bet on a game while smoking weed while fucking a hooker. That's what I call freedom, When that happens I will truly believe this is the greatest country in the world

I guess I should've read the article. This case involves human trafficking. Kraft has been charged on two misdemeanor counts and faces up to a year in jail. Under Florida law he has to serve a minimum of 10 days in jail if convicted.

Step in my shop and I'll fix yours too.

Not to make light of human sex trafficking, but that aside, there's reportedly video footage of Kraft receiving "services." Obviously Kraft and the Patriots don't want that video released but for the general population, that video should definitely not be released. I mean what if he's getting pegged? The nation is doing through enough turmoil now.

So what? He is just one of thousands that use the services of a prostitute. He is widowed for a few years now, so it is not like he is cheating on his wife. I agree that prostitution should be legalized but I don't see that happening soon. To me it is no big deal

I don't really give a damn about prostitution in of itself so how much I care about this depends on whether the women that worked there really were reasonably consenting or not. This seems extremely suspect to the point that they might not be entirely willing participants is at least plausible. Despite being a billionaire it's not like he was hiring extremely high priced escorts here. If it does turn out that they were victims of human trafficking I hope he faces extreme punishment if not from the courts then from the NFL. I have a feeling he probably won't no matter what's found. This also isn't something where somebody can plausibly claim ignorance. It would be like me going to some drug dealer selling next to a school or or buying suspiciously cheap auto parts from a guy that involved in a chop shop and then trying to claim innocence of enabling those people and their activities when the situation blows up and crap hits the fan from it.

From the NFL. Yeah, that's funny.

This also isn't something where somebody can plausibly claim ignorance.

Sadly, sure you can. Unless there's something specifically incriminating in that video, e.g., "Oh yeah, stroke my micro cock you chinese slave whore," that's EXACTLY what Kraft and others can claim.

I was talking about in a realistic common sense way in which members of society should judge one's character, not necessarily a legal one. Then again using just a reasonable person standard I don't see how somebody can argue ignorance about some shady message parlor very likely having elements like that.

You were citing courts and punishment before that so I assumed you meant in a legal sense. And character? Who cares about character in this day and age? Kraft and the Patriots are universally hated outside of Massachusetts anyways.

why are millionaires and billionaires frequenting asian massage parlors in strip malls?

"I'm worth billions but I'm going to expose myself (so to speak) to potential embarrassment by going into a public place for a $75 rub and tug."

If that's their thing, I get it, but I would post an ad for the hottest asian adult models in the U.S. and abroad and fly them to my personal sex lair in wherever and just eat their pussies one by one over the weekend.

I'm not good with the words right now and I'm 12.

Reminds me when JR rider was a Portland trailblazer and was arrested smoking pot in his car out of a pop can. Dude was making 11 million a year at the time.

Yeah, me too (no pun intended). The one I read didn't include the part about it allegedly involving Asian "slave girls". If true, then I'm not cool with that either. But it seems like cities and localities have begun referring to every stripper, hooker, "escort", truckstop lot lizzard, racetrack pit & paddock lizzard and massage parlor tug girl as a "victim". The ones who really are, and if these girls really are... my bad.

Rey C: I agree, that since the package of .. "that law" that basically did away with CL Personals and Backpage - every SEX WORKER is referred to as a human trafficking victim - which is NOT the case. However, from what I've seen about the Kraft situation - that IS the case, and it was readily apparent (e.g., suitcases in the massage rooms, (air?) mattresses, the workers seen cooking on the steps to the rear of the building, etc.).
