I really don't watch much television these days because let's face it, there is not really much worth watching in my opinion. So in one of my **** adled and ******* induced stupors I thought of a show idea. Mainly the story takes place in a fictional American city that has the highest percentage of criminal insanity, meaning that each episode there is a new "baddie" with some kind of mental impairment that commits some kind of crime not neccesarilly a ****** but you get where I am going with this. Well a task ***** is assembled consisting of a local city cop who know's there is something much more sinister afoot, but the rest of his police officers just thinks he's some kind of conspiracy nut that is walking a fine line between sane and insane, for some reason I see Wes Bently or Josh Harnett playing him, then there is the lesbian new age book store owner that provides some comic relief, she know's what may be causing all these odd occurences in this city, the actress I would choose for this role would be Debra Wilson who was a comedian on Mad TV. Every group has a resident scientist/inventor so the local university professor would have to be a bit dry humour but a bit of a raunchy wiseass I would love to see comedian/actor Billy Connely in this role. Another female character would be a widow of the city's DA whose husband died of mysterious causes and she know's there is more to it than that, which wouldn't be a bad role for Claire Fulani, I remember she was in Mallrats. Then the last character would be an outsider that comes to the city who may know what is causing this phenomenon. The character would be a drifter who has a mysterious past, and that would be a role that I could envision Lance Henrikson or Michael Behin in.
So there you have it so far, you got elements of X-Files, Arkham Asylum, Batman, Millenium, and other supernatural/crime/mystery/drama/ shows that I remembered from the 90's and early 2000's. Anyone got any other ideas.
