Country singer Mindy McCready reportedly commits suicide

RNN) - Country singer Premium Link Upgrade died Sunday night in Heber Springs, AR. She was 37.

The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Associated Press that McCready died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Her death comes after her boyfriend, producer David Wilson, who is the ****** of her second *****, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound last month.

McCready was born on Nov. 30, 1975 in Fort Myers, FL, and graduated early from high school so that she could begin her singing career.

At 18, she moved to Nashville before recording five studio albums: Ten Thousand Angels (1996), If I Don't Stay the Night (1997), I'm Not so Tough (1999), the 2002 eponymous titled Premium Link Upgrade and I'm Still Here (2010).

McCready's success was peppered with scandal, **** addiction and arrests, fodder for the tabloids.

Baseball star Roger Clemens was reported to have had an affair with the singer. Clemens denied the claims that the relationship was sexual, even filing a defamation suit, but admitted knowing McCready since she was 15. Clemens released a statement in 2008 saying, "I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry."

Her tumultuous personal life also included the arrest of her ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight for attempted ****** in 2005 after beating and ******* her.

A sex tape of McCready was sold by Vivid Entertainment in 2010.

McCready sought treatment a few times for **** addiction, even appearing on ********* Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2009 after a string of incidents with police.

The singer was arrested for various **** charges throughout her life, including trying to purchase OxyContin with a fake ************, as well as driving with a suspended license, identity theft, ********* probation, battery due to a fight with her ******, and resisting arrest.

She attempted suicide three times previously, twice due to **** overdoses, and has sought treatment at various facilities, including recently being committed to a facility for an evaluation for *******-***** and mental-health issues.
