When the group exited into a parking lot, Janik pulled his gun and pointed it at Morrison from less than 10 feet away, according to police and Morrison, who said he dropped the chain saw, put his hands up and backed away. The saw had no chain.

Only then did Janik identify himself as a police officer, said Morrison, who retreated into the building.

"I started shaking pretty bad," he told The Associated Press.

Another employee of the House of Screams called police.

According to charging documents, Janik smelled of alcohol and told police two different stories about what he did with the gun. First, he denied drawing the weapon, but later he said he pointed it at the ground.

Morrison and two other witnesses told police that Janik pointed the gun at Morrison's chest.

Janik had no listed number and a voice mail for his attorney, Shaun Owens, was not immediately returned.

A security guard had been following Janik's group, which included his 9-year-old daughter, through the haunted house because Janik appeared to be drunk when he arrived, House of Screams owner Tony Sapanero said.

You know, it's stories like these that make me wonder why there aren't more stringent requirements for becoming a police officer. For fuck's sake man, if you've been drinking, it's not a good idea to pull your weapon on someone. The fact that you have it does not give you a license to intimidate people with it.

Worst part of the story: He had his 9 year-old daughter with him. Really, did she need to see that?

something similar happened to me:
when i was 17 i got a job working on the pier in a popular beach town on the NJ coast.
On my first night on the job they put me to work in "the doorway to hell", the haunted house located at the very rear of the pier.
The place was pretty big, dark red lights with creepy music playing
So they painted me up , gave me a black robe and told me to stand there , well inside the place and scare people as they walked by.
The place was pretty big.
Well my concern being a little 17 year old punk at the time was getting punched in the face by some new york guido, that didnt happen though.
Ok at about 10 pm a nasty thunderstorm rolled in, i could hear the thunder, the rain, plus the ocean waves under the pier, it was loud.
After some time nobody had walked by, I started walking around to find the place empty.
those screwheads had shut down the pier and locked me in.
great, now i'm stuck in there until 9 or 10 the next morning.
So i pulled a fire alarm figuring the cops would come and set me free.
A litlle while later i hear the cops trying to open the door so i started yelling " hey i'm in here.
THey open the door, summer cops, 3 of them, as soon as they saw me 2 of them just rushed me, slammed me to the ground shoved there knee in my back and handcuffed me.
It was pretty brutal, those fucks.
Finally after I told them over and over who I was and what happened, they pulled me up and un cuffed me.
They all had a good chuckle.
I mean, who the fuck robs a haunted house?

Stupid ass cops.
