Constantine 2 Sequel?

It is said that they're still thinking about making a sequel for the 2005 movie "Constantine". I like that movie so, why not? The only thing that mattered my was the lack of characteristical depth. Hopefully Keanu will be involved, but it is still unclear if it'll be a sequel, a prequel or even a reboot, which is not unlikely for a film adaption nowadays.

hellblazer was always one of my favorite comics so...i'm for it, i actually enjoyed the first one in spite of some fails...the tied in video game however lacked any redeeming qualities

probably the proper reaction to what most likely will be a failure as both an interpretation of the comic and a film but i hold out hope it will be awesome

I'm not a hater of Keanu and most of the movies he's made where people liked all of the movie but just not him I tend to not be bothered by what the hate about his performances. But in "Constantine" his casting/performance really sunk an otherwise good movie IMO. I don't know who would have been better...honestly now that I think about it, I would have preferred Reeves in "The Book of Ely" and maybe Denzel in "Constantine". Seems like those roles would have been tailor made for their acting styles.

This movie just sucked anal fissures thought Keanu in no way remotely portrays John Constantine and that human douche from the band Bush plays the villian, you know the one married to no tits McGee from No Doubt...Fuck what's next a Shade The Changing Man with Shia LeBouf as Shade, seriously comics are ment to stay in comics especailly the DC Vertigo ones!

To be honest I couldn't give half a dribbly shit about whether it would be an accurate interpretation of the comic. I hate comic books and I hate comic book films, and I want to open Empire one month and not immediately have to flick past two-thirds of the fucking thing because it's pissing on about them.

I forgot all about that movie until I saw this thread. It was decent, nothing great, but certainly worth a watch. I would not expect much from a sequel though.
