Computer saves web pictures - viewable when offline

Well my post says it all. After visiting websites, when I close out my internet and weed through personal pictures using windows picture viewer, if I hit the scoll button it goes through every picture that was online, whether I clicked on it or not. I know you can clear the history, but is there a way of just telling windows to not grab the images? This doesn't even pertain to porn, just sick of scrolling through so much junk when I'm going through pics.
