A few technical points to be made. Dr. Pepper is distributed by Coke and Pepsi although neither of these companies own any of the American branch of the company. Coke does own Dr. Pepper overseas.

This entire thing is so, so, so very dumb. America is a melting pot of different cultures and languages. Always has been, always will be. The fact that there is even a thread about this is dumb, people talking about it is dumb, it being on the news is? dumb. It seems that, with a 7x higher rate of homicide against other Blacks, the Black American communities dislike Black people the most of anyone. And they are almost 100% Democrat Party.
Then, the Latinos kill more Black people than Black people kill Latinos, and Whites barely register on the statistical scale as killers of Black people.
Well, maybe not in NJ, I didn't check that state particularly...

I find that, seeing the results worldwide, that multiculturalism is the root of all the racial disadvantage and animosity in the USA, but it still hasn't become the social structure du jour for the USA, like it did in Bosnia, and Yugoslavia.
We are still a unicultural country, American, and all cultures partake of that American experience.
The most annoying aspect of the commercial is it's stoking the fires of multiculturalism buy insinuating that America is a country where all cultures are equally American...and they are NOT.
All cultures are equally respected and encouraged to freely dwell here, and be a part of the American melting pot...but Cinco De Mayo should NOT become a National Holiday like the 4th of July.
Which would be Multiculturism...

So...I misspelled "by", I wrote "buy"...the pain is so intense!
But...
I stated Blacks kill 7x as many Blacks...misspoken.
The stat is actually Black Americans kill 7x MORE than Whites, etc...when it comes to actual percentage of the Majority Democracts' killing of Black citizens, it's closer to 80 or 90%, as I have not researched the percentage of Latinos killing of Black Americans due to lack of interest...and no one kills Black people like Black People.

But, but, but, cause, cause, cause... globalization, free trade and out-sourcing actually lead to increased growth and more jobs for Americans. It's true, man! The Club for Growth, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Heritage Foundation and the Clintons all said so! We freed up millions of middle class workers to enter the brave new world, where they could make less money, work more hours, have fewer benefits and have less job security. And on top of those positives, we also expanded the market for U.S. Treasuries by having a (much) greater current accounts deficit that had to be financed by debt. So many win/ins that it's hard to keep up.

And in other news, scientists from the Heritage Foundation have found that cancer is very effective at weight loss. America has an obesity problem, right? So if more people had cancer, there would be fewer fat people here. And once the FDA is eliminated, the boys & girls at Heritage see this as a booming industry. They even have a slogan made up: Get cancer and get healthy! :nanner:

If a guy had enough money, not making his wife work outside the home would be most guy's choice.
Any woman keeping a home, and doing church or charity, spending time with friends and family, is fully occupied; a lot of things are doable without entering the workplace.
Most of my livein girlfriends only worked if they wanted to, there was always an open invitation to not work. My wife stayed home, and took care of home and baby when that happened.

Good question. I said to myself when last car shopping that I'd buy a domestic car so that parts and repairs were less expensive. I bought a Hyundai. It was assembled in Georgia or somewhere that has a Hyundai plant. Parts are manufactured in North America. Repairs costs are the same as on Ford and Chev. For all intents and purposes, I bought domestic.
