Cla$$War From Com.X To Be Major Motion Picture.
I did wonder why Com.X, the British comics publisher born out of a design studio, was attending the Long Beach Comic Con. I know they have been trying to get back into the comics publishing the game again, but it seemed quite a way to go. Well now the other shoe has dropped.
I understand that Mandeville Films, the production company behind the Top Shelf comic-turned-movie The Surrogates and the upcoming Christian Bale movie The Fighter are currently developing a movie based on Com.X’s flasgship title, Cla$$war. A politically charged and challenging superhero comic, it made quite a splash on initial release but was hampered by an inconsistent publication schedule. Rick Alexander, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing the film and I expect that they and Com.X will use Long Beach to make some kind of announcement or other.
