ASACP Google it and learn search engines are your friend. Anything is there at your fingertips.

same thing happened to me (i don't know how) and i immediately exited and turned my computer off...i didn't turn back on until the next day just to make sure i didn't get blamed for anything that sick...anyway, i heard that the only way you can get in trouble with the law is by having that stuff saved on your computer...i could be wrong though...guess i'll never find out because i'm not into that type of stuff (i can't understand why anyone else would be either) and i don't want to see any of it just to say i saw it...its gross...i'll stick to the adults...if i want to see someone that looks young i'll watch Gauge.

wierd to think it was only about 4 years ago you'd bump into this shit all the time.

But seriously nothing will happen unless you actually have the files on your pc.

I think we all seen it but it's best not to tell the whole world, they gonna think ure some freak :p
On my old kazaa days people use to rename porn files so i think i'm downloading a porn movie yet it was child porn, sicko fucker who did that. I stopped using kazaa.

same with limewire. i wont even mess with p2ps anymore. not to mention other things hidden in files. fucking trojans.

Believe it or not, once you click on something, it is recorded on your hard drive. When you delete it, it never really deletes. Thats why you always hear stories of people turning their computer in and the Techs discover and report them in.

Like dave rhino said....burn that fucker. If you do not burn it....do not sell the computer with its current hard drive in it, or donate it to a charity or something. Destroy it when no longer in use.

Peace.

Delete all temporary internet files aswell. If it was recently. Thats the only advice I can give.

I think I saw some when I was a kid. Disturbing stuff. Burning your comp isn't the only way, if you really wanted to, you could just format your harddrive. Otherwise clearing cookies and history should do it.

A couple things. First.. Internet Explorer users: INDEX.DAT contains all traces of internet browsing. Clear history, autocomplete, temporary internet files, temp files.. one could also clear out the NTFS table.. but, ah well. At the very least if you did a DOD level 3 wipe..then that sucker is clean. But that sucker is only 9/10 of the law. Everything you do.. screw whats ON your computer.. EVERYTHING you do is in a server log. Twenty server logs. You know how many hops between here and yahoo you leave your IP on?!? Unless you want to 'hack' those and nuke the system.. once again, leaving your IP on some other, inaccessable raid array or what-have-you.. lol, dont even sweat it. Still, the fact that you just said it out loud in a topic where hundreds of people see it should make you feel disconcerted.

ANYHOW.. There are two things. 'Art' and pornography. If you 'see' it, as in you downloaded 'JENNA JAMESONRIDING_THACOCK.mpg' and there's lil sandy from next door.. delete it. Simple as that. False labeling that you didnt search for. If you're caught SHARING the file in P2P.. well hey, then you're 'peddling k!ddie porn' DONT USE P2P IN THE FIRST PLACE. Virii, lawsuits.. and least of all worries.. mislabeled files. (Like finding an MP3 you thought was just a cover... lets say, U2 - Black Betty... naw, that wasnt U2 you dickhead! But anyway!

Art, is what websites get away with when they show ten year olds in little to nothing. You know the audience THEY cater to. (probably hosted out-of-country, too)

Porno.. dont even look in that direction. Straight to prison. Beatings. Loss of status in your family/community/all that.

Want some advice? Treat it like the taboo it is. Dont even MENTION it. ;) Ask an admin to delete this topic lest Freeones show up on a search engine query for 'ch!ld XXX' and some inquisitive, underpaid fed start subpoena'ing all our ISP's who might turn you in JUST for the 200 illegal songs you *might* have.. or the weed-growing BB you have bookmarked, or WHATEVER! So yes, worry because you didnt have the good sense to avoid unsavory sites or click on random links thinking you'd get teens that have a C cup instead of a C on her third grade report card!.

Take it easy. ~Peace

Well, if you unintentionally got onto the site/got the file I suggest you go to the police, explain everything & let them track down the sickos who posted it in the 1st place.

There might still be a record of it on your computer, but as long as the pics/files are no longer there (clean your cache & cookies to make sure) & you've gone to the police, you should probably never get into any problems (the police knows just as well as everyone else that it's quite hard to remove every last trace on your computer & like you've already told them, you've ran across it accidently, so they know it's there...).

As I said this is where to report it. ASACP .They appreciate the help.

Contacting local police may stir up a hornets nest you don't want to. People tend to get over zealous about such things and sometimes things can have a way of turning on you.

Delete history, temporary files and have record (copies of correspondence to ASACP) that you accidentally came across it and that you properly reported it. I also would do a full scan as that junk usually breeds virus. Then move on. If you make a big deal it may end up being just that. If you panic you may end up looking guilty.

IMHO:)
