Arsenal played masterful, magical football and deserved the win. Barca crumbled after Robin van Persie's goal, and they absolutely got shredded by Bendtner-->Wilshere-->Fabregas-->Nasri-->Arshavin. Last year it was a LUCKY draw in London. It was not luck this year. The Goons actually had a full squad to play Barca, and it appears like with Pique getting bounced for the return leg and with Puyol sketchy and most likely out for that match at Camp Nou---the chances for the Goons to win look better than most people are giving them credit for. Barca's defense is suspect, and I will take Dani Alves running up the side and giving up his defensive duties all night long as a "genius" tactic

. Maxwell can't do anything against Theo Walcott's pace. Actually nobody in Barca can stay with him when he has the ball. That's really the point. There is no speed gap between these teams. If anything, Arsenal are faster.
I know everyone makes a big deal out of the 700+ passes that Barca had last night. Gimme a break. Half of those passes are just one touch taps from one player back to the same player. They're not exactly spine crushing passes.
It felt so damn good to finally beat the best team in the world. It's to Arsenal's advantage to be re-playing Barca this time around. Barca had already beaten the Goons (a depleted Goon squad) but they did win and moved on. I can imagine they didn't want to face Arsenal again. They got their wakeup call. The Goons may have Vermaelan back for that game and that would only shore up the defense even more...although how could Wenger not give Koscielny the start after his masterful, fearless performance...
Things are looking up for Arsenal!
