One of the greatest. Just had to put on The French Connection. Brilliant actor, always good no matter what the role and film.

Not exactly the headline I was expecting to wake up too. This is terrible news, I really liked his work, and I hope he rests in peace, along with his wife and pet. The article I read on Yahoo said no foul play is suspected, so all I can think of is carbon monoxide, or a gas leak.

EDIT:

It looks like my thoughts have been ruled out. This link has some updated info I believe, and gives a few more details of what the initial scene looked like.

I've seen a lot of Gene Hackman films and have a Gene Hackman section of my movie collection. I think my favorite performance is Unforgiven as Sheriff "Little Bill". I liked the shades of grey Hackman put into that role. Very believable as a Sheriff from Old West times. Little Bill was a bad hombre who would surely get my vote for Sheriff.

It looks like we lost another one....they seem to be going so fast.

Joey Molland, guitarist for Badfinger has passed on at the age of 77. The article doesn't list a cause of death, but it does say he's had some health issues. I wasn't a huge fan, but they were a good band, and of course it seems like they wrote "Baby Blue", just for "Breaking Bad". Rest in peace Joey, thanks for the music.

He was the one who caused Tom Evans to kill himself.

They had a long standing argument about royalties on the song "Without You" (the song made famous by Harry Nilsson)

Their version ...

Left to right ... (back) Molland and Ham. (front) Evans and Gibbins.
