I'm surprised a thread like this hasn't already been started up.

So, the James Bond series is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary of the franchise since it first started back in 1962 with "Dr.No". Surely we should all come together and share our thoughts & opinions on cinema's best spy? I've already got some interesting questions set up that you could answer! :)

1. What was the first James Bond film you saw?
2. Do you own any Bond novels?
3. Do you own any Bond soundtracks?
4. Can only one man be the "best" Bond, or can that title be shared?
5. Do you have a favourite Bond girl?

Have you ever checked out the well known Bond website "MI6-HQ"? It carries all the latest news on anything and everything 007. I myself visit it regularly and would highly recommend it to any Bond fan who is unaware of it.

As we all know, the 50th Anniversary is being marked with the release of "Skyfall" today which is the 23rd Bond film in the EON franchise. There are many special events being held to mark this great occasion including movie marathons at specific locations.

Well I'll leave it at that. Hopefully this thread will bring a fresh bit of life to the forum which many have wanted recently. I hope it encourages people to post and make FreeOnes Talk an interesting place to be again. Can I just ask that you do not post spoilers about the "Skyfall plot" as some people may not see the film at the same time as you. They might wait a few weeks or even until the DVD is out due to working life. I speak from experience. There's nothing worse than having a big film plot ruined by someone who posted a spoiler by accident. lol

Thanks everyone! And I hope you all enjoy the 50th Anniversary! :)

You missed David Niven. Not my favorite but he was a Bond. Sean Connery is well the best but I grew up on Roger Moore. He'll get my vote. He was also The Saint.

Im partial to Connery, Moore, and Brosnan. I do enjoy the Daniel Craig movies but its just not the same as it used to be but what can you expect after 50 years.

Roger Moore was the worst, in my opinion. And despite popular opinion, I put Sean Connery at #2, behind Timothy Dalton. When watching Connery, I see Connery. When I see Dalton, I see Bond. Extremely underrated.

Connery was the best for me. I agree the Moore is the worst, that was when Bond became a parody of itself, totally playing on the ridiculous gadgets, cheesy one liners and women. Although saying that Live and Let Die is my favourite Bond movie. Best Bond girl for me was always Lupe Lamora from License To Kill, I remember being totally in love with her when I was a kid.

I dont mind Roger Moore but that might be because Live and Let Die is my favorite as well.
