Car audio ?

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Surely someone here knows something about car audio. My last car I had a head unit installed which put out 200 watts. I had a couple sony xplode 6x9s which I installed in the rear deck. Sounded great. Nice and loud no distortion. The car I have now is a 90 Buick regal and there is no place to put the head unit. Well there is but I'd have to remove the tape deck and equalizer and run an extra 3 feet of wires to the actual radio unit which is located behind and below the glove box. Kinda a hassle I'd rather avoid if possible. I have put the 6x9s in the rear deck again and they sound like ****. I can't turn it up to loud or it start crackin and poppin like crazy! Is this because the stock radio unit isn't powerful enough to power the speakers or what? Maybe if I go through the bullshit involved with installing my head unit it may or may not fix the problem. I've already double checked my connections and soldered them just to be sure. I know that's not the problem. Any help would be appreciated!
