Can't play .wmv files

I'm downloading the "I Know That Girl - Uma Stone" ******* and no player I have will play it. What do I do?

Have you tried VLC player? It can handle almost every codec. If you want to use Windows Media Player, get the K-Lite Codec Pack.

Even if you get the vlc player, you should still download the K-Lite pack anyway. Its wonderful.

The VLC player doesn't work and neither does K-Lite apparently. How can I check to see if K-Lite was actually installed? It seems like I did the right thing to associate it with Windows Media Player.

Whoa, VLC's working, but the video's messed up. You can see the "negative". That's the only way I can explain that problem.
