Canada isn't looking too hot these days...

This was on my social media page today.
Too soon.

Canada's first PM 'too controversial' for commemoration, federal board rules

Conservatives saying that woke culture is trying to cancel the first Prime Minister for being "too controversial".

Kinda misleading. They're not going to take down/rename things with his name on them. They're just saying no more new monuments and memorials in his name. Which is fine - I don't think they were going to put up to many more statues and things about him anyways.

But it would be interesting to see if any other country would do the same to their first leader.

This is an interesting exception to the protection of the ID of young offenders. Usually everything about under-age criminals is under a media ban, but in this case they released the name, image and details of a 14-yr old suspect wanted for a robber turned mur-der of an elderly woman.

Looks like there's an exception because he's at large, armed and dangerous. If he's taken alive, he's going to be one of the few young offenders whose identity will be known.
