Can anyone remember these kind of comics?

When I was a kid, I remember getting some comics or books that were like murder mystery.
You read the story, then had to try and solve the crime. To do this you were given an option in the story what page to go to next. It was like you could choose the direction or ending of the story by turning to different pages in the comic, " If you think x should enter the building turn to page 24, if you think he should go to the police instead, turn to page 30" etc..
Does anyone remember these kind of comics, and can they still be bought.

There's always been lots of stuff like that. Back in my (old) day, there was a mystery show with James Hutton on TV called "Ellery Queen." Every week he'd give you the chance to guess the criminal--like with Encyclopedia Brown.

I can remeber books that were made up like a pen&paper role-playing game. All you needed was the book and a pencil. They were great. Weren´t comics though.

Ah yes, the days of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books.
I remember them well.

If they still made those books I'd own every fucking one of them. The most fun I've had while reading until those fateful days in my 20s when the missus wanted the use of my crotch during a vanity fair reading. Mmmm. Shame she's a complete fucking nutcase, now. Ah well. I have wine, and I have legitimate moral superiority. No real worries.

I don't remember comics but I do remember books like that, and I always hated them. Usually there wasn't any real logical or analytical systematic way you could go about something or figure out what to do. Whether you succeeded or failed and got killed usually just amounted to dumb ass luck. :D:1orglaugh
