Calif. baby tossed from building; mom arrested

ORANGE, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California mother whose 7-month-old son was tossed from the fourth-floor of a parking structure was arrested and booked for investigation of attempted murder, police said Tuesday.

The infant remained in critical condition at University of California, Irvine, Medical Center, said Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams.

Sonia Hermosillo, 31, of La Habra, was arrested Monday night, hours after the baby was thrown over a parking structure railing at Children's Hospital of Orange County. It's believed the baby was thrown from the fourth floor of the structure, Adams said.

I heard this story on the news last night. Just horrible! Being a father, I do not understand how someone can do this to a child. My prayers are with this child

I'm not a father-but I am a human being;and I don't understand it either. My hope is that the child recovers fully,and is given the life he deserves.

Strangely enough; I hope the "mother" is given what she fully deserves as well.

My guess: woman had post natal depression, probably made worse with some 'medication' her doctor prescribed to her.
