New arrest for California woman who livestreamed drunk driving crash that killed sister

California cops have announced the arrest of the 20-year-old woman who earned notoriety after killing her younger sister in a drunk driving crash that she was livestreaming at the time on social media.

Obdulia Sanchez, 20, found herself in trouble with the law again after Stockton police said they tried to stop a car she was driving early Wednesday.

Just three weeks ago Sanchez was sprung from prison on parole after serving two years of a six-year sentence in the drunk driving case. She was convicted of manslaughter.


Wow, she had to serve a whole two years of six for manslaughter. That seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. Glad to see that after serving that "lengthy sentence" that she got her life going in the right direction.

My sister got 4 DUI's in a 3 month span. Along with those came 3 Driving On Revoked List.
How she was given bail after the 2nd time I have no idea.
A she was out of her mind drunk crashing into shit. If thats not a threat to society I don't know what is.
I think she got 3 years, did about a year in county.

Speaking of Driving Drunk, one of the worst cases ever was that of Diane Schuler in NY state in July 2009.
7 people including 3 little girls and the driver herself were killed. Only her son survived.
There is an interesting mystery surrounding this case as you follow the timeline and her locations and actions leading up to the crash.
Very interesting a very very sad incident.

I'm not saying one way or the other. But the people I know who've battled the bottle usually refer to themselves as "recovering alcoholics". You know, like the condition or tendency is always there. But I don't know. I hope that your sister continues to win that battle though. :thumbsup:
