The lawsuits generally don't go anywhere. The offenders generally back down because they really didn't mean to offend people in the first place, and once they see it in the broader perspective, they generally do the right thing.
I don't know you but I'm guessing you're white. In my experience, many white people tend to be less uncomfortable with the symbols and speech of racism that people of color.
And yeah, we are free in America to say what we want, right or wrong.
Although I should qualify that, because from what I can tell, most of the non-white world is racist as hell.

Yup, but I wouldn't be surprised if FO loses some traffic over this type of shit. People are naive if they think this type of stuff is banned from American media because of political correctness. Media conglomerates are businesses, they follow the bottom line. The reason you don't see that stuff on American media is because when you support it, you lose business.
