Boy Carries Friend Home After Hit And Run...

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 10-year-old is recovering in the hospital after he was hit by a driver in east Houston who then fled the scene. That's when the youngster's nine-year-old best friend jumped into action, carried him home, and called 911.

I can't believe the people who hit this kid. After they hit this kid on his bike, the only reason they stopped was to remove the bike from underneath the car and then they drove away. SCUM!!!

On a side note, in all reality, carrying his friend home was a pretty stupid thing for this other kid to do. I know he was trying to help and he is only 9 years old, but dude...he's lucky he didn't injure him any further.

That's true,but let's not forget the fact that he's nine.He didn't think it through sure,but he just was trying to help his friend.

He's already more of a man than a lot of guys I know.

I hate to say this but....East Houston? I'm betting the reason the driver didn't stop is either he/she was:

1) Drunk
2) On drugs
3) Had drugs in his/her possession
3) Carrying a weapon
4) Had outstanding warrants
5) An illegal alien
6) Any combination of or all of the above

When I was a kid barely 12 years old (a long, long, long time ago), I was hit by a car when I was trying to cross the street.

The driver stopped, stared down, screamed and abused me for "not being careful" and then drove away. I looked down and I could see blood gushing in squirts onto the pavement.

I kept passing in and out of consciousness from the blood loss and the excruciating pain as some kind stranger scooped me up and ran me to the hospital (I never did find out who this gentleman was).

It took 36 stitches to sew back my leg (all done without any anesthetic or pain meds because I'd lost too much blood).


There have always been cowards and heroes amongst us - this isn't anything new.
Kudos to the young feller for helping his friend get the help he needed.

May that piece of scum who hit this young boy and then kept on driving meet a sad, ignoble end to his worthless life.

My friends cousin did a hit and run and she got off with no consequences. She is a spoiled bitch who gets anything because her mom is an amazing lawyer.
