Boy, 12, fought at the Somme

While thats young it wasn't that unheard of for very young men/boys to be in wars.

Audie Murphy the most decorated soldier in american history served in ww2.He joined the army at 17 after being turned down by the marines and navy as being to small for combat and was almost not allowed to be in a combat outfit in the army.He showed them I guess, personally ****** more then 200 germans and owned every medal america has to give.

very brave from him

From what I've read it was actually not unusual for youngsters to get into the armed ****** back in the olden days. One example:

Actor Victor McLaglen enlisted in the British army when he was fourteen hoping to serve in the second Boer War before he was found out.

maildude

Postal Paranoiac
And the Confederate army was marching teenaged boys into battle, and the Germans had young **** manning anti-aircraft guns before Berlin fell.
