Bill O’Reilly: People Support Obama Because ‘They Want Things'

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-ore...eople-support-obama-because-they-want-things/
During Fox News’ election analysis, Bill O’Reilly attributed much of the way the race is shaping up to the the country’s changing demographics. Noting that the “white establishment” is the minority, O’Reilly noted that people “want things.” And Obama will give them things.

“It’s a changing country, the demographics are changing,” O’Reilly said. “It’s not a traditional America anymore, and there are 50 percent of the voting public who want stuff. They want things. And who is going to give them things? President Obama.”

Twenty years ago, O’Reilly said, Obama would have been “roundly defeated by an establishment candidate” like Romney.

“The white establishment is now the minority,” he added. “The voters, many of them, feel this economic system is stacked against them and they want stuff. You’re gonna see a tremendous Hispanic vote for President Obama. Overwhelming black vote for President Obama. And women will probably break President Obama’s way. People feel that they are entitled to things — and which candidate, between the two, is going to give them things?”

Wait a minute, who are the people who got the bailouts? who are the people who have tax havens? who are the people who receive corporate welfare? who are the people who receive government subsidies?

Even after the rich almost destroyed the entire global economy through their sheer unrestrained greed and stupidity, we can't shake the peasant mentality that says we should go easy on them, because the best hope for our collective prosperity is in them creating wealth for us all.

Really? So Mr. O'Reilly, it's now wrong to want the middle class to be treated as well and as fairly as that one percent you belong to? It's unfair that we should get to hold onto more of the little money we make compared to those who hold onto hundreds of thousands to millions due to the tax cuts? It's biased that we should want an equal distribution of income and no tax evasions by wealthier firms and people? And you have the gall to say we feel this economic system is stacked against us and the only reason we would vote for Obama is because he promises us candy and toys, as opposed to the obvious truth that things are in fact NOT in our favor but he may change that?

Go fuck yourself, you arrogant piece of shit.

Most all people vote for who they vote for because they want things...

That's why a democracy is not always better...

Egocentricity is man's downfall. Always has been, and always will...

I've been watching FOX news this evening solely for the purpose of watching these backward thinking idiots saying how the Pachyderm party needs to revitalize itself for the next go round in 4 years. Pure comedy GOLD televised on this station.

People do want things..............they want entitlements but are unwilling to pay for them themselves rather they'd rather have someone else pay. To say that people don't want free things is ignorant, of course they do. O'Reilly is correct.

stay out of american politics you eurotrash idiot

See, this is why I proposed "progressive conservatism" in my politics class. It needs more polish but it's more 21st century than the current GOP philosophy!

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Bill is an asshole, but the auto bail out loans were repaid. The other stuff, I doubt. Corporate America is a leech on society, but the fact is, a good percentage of people did vote for him because they like the free action. A good majority of the people on welfare have been there for a long time, and are there because they can continue to leech off of the system. There certainly needs to be programs in place to help people, but the system is seriously broken, and needs to be fixed. I would bet that a good amount of the people that got those free phones, already have a phone of their own, but took it because it's free. Free to them....not free to me. I pay taxes...so do most, or all of those here.

Sure the banks and auto got their bail outs. But so did people that bought houses they couldn't afford. Blame the government or the banks that put those loans together, but the people that signed on the dotted lines had their share in it too. Buy a house for 180k. Put 30k into it and sell it for 240k. Didn't matter if you couldn't afford the 180k house, you could find a buyer for it in a year and have 30k in your pocket. Go do it again. It was the thing to do.

At some point you can't find a buyer for your new place. You just signed another 2 mortgages and you aren't getting your 30k profit from your first house. Prices drop to the point that it is cheaper to walk away. CRASH! Your buyer walks, you walk, and the banks are stuck with overpriced houses. People helped create that mess and got some bailout too.

And people wonder why the republican party has an image problem when it comes to women and minorities

they think that minorities and women are so stupid as to not know what a large chunk of the party thinks of them

The Zolfster has to at least credit O'Reilley with being honest with his feelings.

He is pissed and has been for a while now that old white men can no longer just wave their hands in the air and shit magically goes their way

Trying to get half of these right wing dick wads to admit to the same is like sticking your dick in a hornet's nest.

People sitting on welfare for their entire lives is no more. Clinton got the welfare to work thing passed. I think you only have 3 years to stay on then you have to move off of it. Sure there are other ways to get aid but that cleared a lot of people out in a system that paid people to sit on their asses.

I don't take O’Reilly seriously, don't think anyone does tbh. He can say whatever he wants, still doesn't make a difference.

Think about this: if all 47 million food stamp users voted for Obama, it would account for over 75% of his votes. Who can beat Obama when he's buying votes and giving stuff away for free? People want things for free. O'Reilly is correct whether you like him or not.

So, you're saying that the economy is just fine and people shouldn't be on unemployment/welfare/food stamps? Cool. Thank God that President Barack Obama fixed the economy.

Yep, they want this things. Things such as equal civil rights
