Rebecca, I've been trying to warn these guys about oversimplifying things into the mainstream US media 2-sided coin of "thin" and "fat" for a long time now in several posts in this thread ... e.g., (in reverse chronology) ...

It's not just from a "lip service" or "respect" aspect, but really from a reality of what most of men actually like, as well as a often disregarded health aspect. Thinner is not always healthier, BMI is out and stomach protrusion as an index far, far more accurate.
Because there are difference female body shapes, as I re-wrote the entire beginning of the Wikipedia article
Female Body Shape with new sections on
Shape and
Fat and Weight Distribution:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_body_shape#Shape
Which was largely based on my much earlier thread, and corresponding poll,
Female body shapes, width and sizes ...:

There are many women in this thread that I don't find attractive. Not because of their weight, but because of their shape. I love hourglass women, and some apple tendency hourglass figures (more of a flatter rear, often on a stockier/shorter woman). The overwhelming majority of women are straight or spoon/pear shaped, including the overwhelming majority of actresses, and the average US/UK dress size metric doesn't help matters.
Many men go nuts over
Angelina Jolie or
Scarlett Johansen and yet they don't know why. And others self-criticize themselves privately because they see women like
Kerry Marie (at least at her most slender) or
Cassandra and can't explain why they are so beautiful, even though they are "have more." It has nothing to do with being fat, especially not given the fact that they are slender (little to no stomach protrusion) and often healthier than women who weigh less. Hell, as I mentioned in a previous post, some people even think pornstar
Kira Kener is "fat" merely because she has some 'side folds' (from behind) because of her hourglass (as well as bust support).
It's the figure, as my previous thread and poll clearly points out.
Angelina Jolie is only a "half-model breed" if you will (I've never really gone bonkers for her because I see Jon Voight every time I look at her face

). But if any actress even has a hint of a hourglass shape -- even though far more models are (and are often far more curvy in shape) -- she is extremely popular as a result. Same deal with
Scarlett Johansen. At the same time, there are plenty of people who say Scarlett "has a little extra" or even Angelina too, totally ignorant of the fact that it's "not extra," but their (somewhat, full is debatable) hourglass form at work.
And who is the Internet's most downloaded woman?
Danni Ashe Is it merely her breasts? No. Far from it!
Although quite selfishly, I'd just like to have an innocent dinner with her, as she is one classy woman with plenty of charm and even more charisma and business experience!
Some women are wider for their height, and
that is very much bone structure. It's not a farce, it's a reality -- especially when her ribcages are exposed! Non-nude models even have it worse because it's not regularly visible, as
Kate "the Next Cindy Crawford" Dillion was starving herself to maintain a size 6 as she exited her teenage years, and is not remotely healthy under a size 10 (she maintains a "healthy" size 14, even if one could argue that's not the "ultimate ideal" overall). Hips are not some things women can control, especially not after child birth in many cases. The funny thing is that many hourglass women actually gain hips and bust in all-the-right-places, distributing the added weight (not necessarily fat) perfectly for a woman.
Women who are straight or spoon/pear shape do not gain it well. Which is why I don't go for many women mentioned in this thread. Some clear BBWs, yes, I do go for -- but because they are hourglass beauties to begin with, regardless of weight. But I have nothing against extremely slender, FFW, and have lusted over several "hardbody" slender, but wider figures.
I really love women who are athletes or fit at a 38-26-38 or even 40-28-40, or some variation of bust, hips, etc... Even
Marilyn Monroe was a 38-26-38 and
Anna Nicole Smith at her sleek Playboy debut was the same, and not a 36-24-36. Hell, give me a 40-24-38 and I'm in heaven, a very, very wide, but extreme hourglass shape! Sometimes a woman can be busty enough that a 36D+ or even 34D+ with 24 by 38 waist looks very hourglass and sweet (like the woman in my sig,
Brittney Swallows).
You are very much a slender FFW, and I'm guessing your measurements are in the range of 38-26-38 or so. And a woman doesn't even have to have completely natural breasts for such perfection in shape, as my favorite pin-up of all-time --
Dakota Kelly -- wasn't so naturally formed in her bust, but definitely was perfect in width and shape overall.

And when it comes to early '90s Page 3 models who broke out, massively, in both mainstream as well as Playboy, Penthouse and other print publications,
Donna "The Body" Ewin is still awed by many:
http://www.adultxposure.com/profv/4825/Donna+Ewin:+the+All-Time,+Hard-Body+Goddess.html
You are one sweet, raven brunette atop of all that fuller, but very slender'n fit perfection -- don't question a thing about your perfect form! Just ignore people who think a size 10, 8 or even 6 hourglass is "a bit extra." Has nothing to do with weight. I could endlessly and quite selfishly talk about how my raw, male being (among the countless majority of men on this planet) not only appreciate, but extremely desire the presence and experience such a woman of your curvature and form in a very intimate sense.
But I'll leave it to this, 'more technical/medical' response.
