Recently, there was a massive leak of a TON of Mailadress, Password, and other personal info combinations - and among them are Freeones data combinations.

I found out by a service website to check this leak dump for compromised data, that - among other websites - my FreeOnes data was leaked, so I just changed them.

Here is an article about the story

https://www.cnet.com/news/massive-breach-leaks-773-million-emails-21-million-passwords/

And here is the website I used to check for the compromised data:

Please check asap, and be safe, friends!

thank you

Sound like a trap, I don't trust the links, they say that you can be leaked so you start to panic and then you click on that link and tada! you got leaked.

Not a trap. But You Might just change yourt password without using the links, no harm in that.

It is wiser to change them from time to time, anyways

ok...i have checked all over my account, where is the option to change your password? this SHOULD be under account but i see nothing!

Hey 'Fly I am the forgetful type and try to avoid changing passwords unless I have to. Do you have a system that stoners and people with head trauma would be able to operate and keep track of?

If you have a smartphoe, it is easy.

----------------------------------------
Open the calendar, pick adayyou liketo change your password, my advice is yearl, of course, you can change it on a monthlyx basis, if you are paranoid.

Open a new date Reminder
I would say, pick a time in the morning, when you usually had your coffee, and maybe even had a good shower, so you are really awake.
Maybe 9 o'clock that day that will recur each year on that day.
Go down a few lines, to the line: "Repeat" Normally, it says "Never"
You tap at that "Never"
A new page opens, with arious choices, and the last is "Each Year" (I guess, I have the menue in german). You tap on it.
You tap on the word in the top line, it takes you back to theoriginal date page.

Now for the actual password change:
Get a solid ittle book, in which you write your username and email you use for Freeone
You write in advance the dates te calendar wll remind you
In the first date, you write your current password.

Each time you change your password, you first write it into that book.

Thank you. I will try that.

BTW, you are doing a good job as a mod. How are you liking it so far?
