Which theme do you love from your favorite film or television show?

One of my all time favorites has to be the opening to Krull

Great question! The ones that instantly come to mind are The Wire, Law & Order, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., The Rockford Files, Sanford & Son, All in the Family, Gunsmoke and M*A*S*H*. I also like the theme from Luther, which is a brilliant newer show from the BBC. I have all of those on my iPod.

The Wire...

We're currently watching Season 3. The intro irritates me for some reason. The closing music is good tho.

My favorite openings are The Simpsons and Doctor Who.

I didn't care for the versions of Way Down in the Hole from Seasons 2 or 3 either. I really liked Season 1, and Season 5 was OK. Season 4 was my favorite version. I won't tell you about it, but the opening theme has a different take, which perfectly matches that season's storyline. It's a brilliant show, but I found that season very hard to watch at times - almost too realistic.

Oh, and another one I forgot is the theme to Stargate SG-1. There was one facility that I used to hate going to (felt like I was entering battle every time I pulled into the parking lot). I would play that theme on my car stereo before I went in. I swear some of those people were Goa'ulds. Really, really (REALLY!) dumb Goa'ulds, but Goa'ulds nonetheless.

Didn't even have to think about it. Since most people don't read the names on the opening credits, this was the best handling of the situation.

I didn't notice it until the season 2 finale, but have you noticed that at the very end, when the wave is retreating, Nucky's shoes are clean and dry? I thought that was cool.
