Dear Freeones friends,
Last night I was involved in a serious car accident. I was stopped at an intersection, and the light turned green. I accelerated, but halfway across the intersection a pickup truck hit the passenger's side of my car. The driver of the truck had consumed over twice the legal limit of *******, and ran the red light. My car spun several times before hitting a light post. By this time my airbags had deployed, so the second impact didn't cause any serious injuries to me. At the hospital I was diagnosed with a bruised rib, and I have a black eye and a few scratches. My fiance, however, was not so fortunate. The driver struck his side of the car, breaking his arm in two places, and his leg. He also received a concussion and a broken jaw. Yet he was also extremely lucky, because he could have been ****** or ********* for life.
Ten years ago, my ****** and his best friend were ****** by a ***** driver. I am extremely grateful I was spared that fate. So I encourage everyone to think before they get behind the wheel. Even if your house isn't far away, and you think you can make it, you never know what may happen. Even if you think you haven't consumed that much *******, be safe and call a cab. If you cause an accident, you ruin the lives of real people and their families.
