Me and some friends were brainstorming one night about a bar sport triathlon of sorts. We all play pool, foosball and darts pretty regularly and thought it would be cool to have a big poolhall host an event sort of like the Olympics, but all in one day/night.

I don't know much about darts, I only play 501 so some more research would have to be put into that.
We'd think of more events obviously, I'm just throwing some down to give people an idea.
Each event could have Mens, Womens, Juniors (depending on the poolhalls rules)and a mixed gender. Each participant would have to take part in each event. A point system would be used also. 10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd and so forth. The point is to reward the most well rounded players in all the sports. We don't want a pool hustler to come in, walk all over everybody and win. Being pro at one event would end up a huge failure in the final standings.
I'm sure a poolhall would be interested, as it would bring in a lot of business and possibly sponsorship. If we could create enough hype for it, (which is probably the hardest part), I'm sure local sponsors would flock to it.
It is definitely an interesting idea. I think it would be a blast, and maybe after a couple years of holding the Bar Sport Olympics and generating buzz around Southern Ontario/Michigan, it could turn into a profitable business venture and attract "Olympians" from across North America. :dunno:
Give me some feedback. I'm not sure how many foos, pool, dart players there are on the board, but any feedback is welcome. And if you like the idea, and want to steal it, that's cool, just invite me so I can win Gold!!!:glugglug:
