Banned Sites - Opinions

Obviously, there are a number of sites that should be banned and users not be able to post links from, but there is one site that none of the mods have ever given me a specific answer as to why it was put on the banned list, and that is the Lazy.Girls site. I've asked several of the mods and every one of them gave a generic answer, it was probably this, or probably that. The thing that makes no sense to me is that there a lot of profiles on FreeOnes that have links to Lazy.Girls, but if you try to post those links on the board, you get those *************'s. This is one site that I would like to see removed from the banned list, because there have been many times I've tried finding pics on some woman, only to find next to nothing, except on Lazy.Girls, which in some cases would have HUNDREDS of pics!

What's your opinion?

I think I found the reason why it was banned on the board. IMO it should be unbanned, but I'm just an insignificant gnome.

Use common sense. If the site has pirated or stolen material, ie full videos or full photo sets, stuff out of members areas, etc...it's not allowed on FreeOnes.

Main reason we allow youtube is because they do police their site for stolen content. The big porn tube sites ignore DMCAs.

If you should ban all sites that use copyrighted material they haven´t paid for pretty much every model site should be banned. I have been a member of quite a few model sites over the years and just about every one use music in their videos (usually pop music like for example Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and Britney Spears), and i don´t for a second believe that they have paid for the right to use the music.

I don't really know the particulars of all that stuff but it just seems to me other sites will take stuff down upon a complaint just as fast as youtube. Is that how the enforcement works? Someone complains then it's investigated and taken down if it infringes?:dunno:

Personally, I can't tell what's 'stolen' or 'pirated' at some tube site (youtube included) from what someone legally bought and is simply uploading to play where they want. I don't see a technical distinction from that and someone loading a copy of what they bought anywhere else and playing it.

However, I don't think it ought to be made available to download from tube sites for free no matter what the quality. But a listener or viewer of some uploaded material at a tube site is doing no different from tuning onto a broadcast and listening or watching...as long as the uploader isn't profiting from the broadcast. Not much different in my book from me playing CDs I bought at some park and passersby stopping and listening as I'm not charging them.

I understand for obvious reasons why you guys would want to err on the side of caution and some degree of common sense...but I wouldn't expect the average person to know what's pirated from what someone bought and uploaded...(or even care enough to try know) at any tube site.

What about flickr is that allowed here?

I believe flickr has us blacklisted since adult content is against their TOS. Much like photo bucket etc.

Youtube and Facebook should be banned because they censor nudity.
