Bald Eagle Comes Off Endangered List

This was talked about but is now official. I haven't seen any in a few months because of the drought.

Great news! Maybe we can get tigers off that list, I love tigers!

Wow, am I the first to type, "tastes like chicken?"

For those of you who don't get sarcasm no I am not condoning or suggesting anyone go out and eat bald eagle.

But if you do, may I suggest with BBQ sauce

Now what in the world is a Weikebopufaddler? :dunno:

A Weikebopufaddler or like we in Germany say a Weißkopfseeadler is that animal this thread is about.

Weißkopfseeadler = Bald Eagle

Weiß = white
Kopf = head
See = sea
Adler = Eagle

so a Whiteheadseaeagle if you want :D

Its one of my favorite animals!
:thumbsup:

oh wait Im not sure if you can see this letter "ß" or not.

you can write "weiß" also in this way: weiss
so Weisskopfseeadler

Thanks, a compound word. :)
Yes I can see ß, but can't type one directly.

It's the same bird. I have seen a group of about 6 at about 300 yards. Closer they have swooped down within 100 feet to grab fish out of the water. Three was a very good TV program about them, I'll see if I can find it.

Considering what they eat they would probably taste a little fish like. I guess you could always cover the flavor with more barbeque sauce. :dunno: ;)

Bald Eagle Comes Off Endangered List

... another Don Henley world tour? No, hang on ...!!! Now, I get it... Good news for a revered bird.

He's lucky to have a more influential lobby than tapeworm, though ... Would anyone rejoice in "The Return of the Tapeworm"? (unless, it's a Jack Arnold-movie title, of course...?)

This is great news- I saw 2 just the other day. Beautiful, majestic birds! Glad to hear they're not endangered now.

oh and I forgot to say:
actually our "See" means "lake" in English and not really "sea".
but Whiteheadlakeeagle...? :rolleyes:

just in case you are interested in a few German words.

Yes, very good. Lake would be more correct. I always thought it was very difficult to learn, but that is not so hard.

There are a number of species other than the white headed, Bald Eagle, with shorter bodies or wings depending on their native environment. There may be a similiar kind in Germany.

This is not the TV program I was looking for, but I think I have seen this;

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is I - Sam the American Eagle. I would just like to say a few words about "nudity" in the world today. And I for one am just appalled by it. Why, did you know that underneath their clothing the entire population of the world is walking around completely naked? Is that disgusting? And it's not just people, although goodness knows that's bad enough. Animals too, even cute little doggies and pussy cats, can't be trusted. Underneath their fur - absolutely naked! And it's not just the quadrupeds either. Birds too - yes, beneath our fine feathers, birds wear nothing! Nothing at all. Abs... oh m... could someone, hand me a robe? ... Mmmhmm.
