Astonishing photographs which capture the American landscapes as never seen before

I'm sure I messed the wording up in the title but I'll let the pictures do the talking

Astonishing photographs in time-lapse video which capture the American landscapes as you've never seen them before

These are the jaw-dropping shots of the American wild captured as part of a high-definition video which masters the art of time-lapse techniques.

They come from Landscapes: Volume Two, by cinematographer Dustin Farrell, who filmed the iconic landscapes of Utah and his home state Arizona.

The second in a planned trilogy of videos picturing the awe-inspiring power of the rural U.S., Mr Farrell said he used a Canon 5D2 DSLR and Adobe software to create the images.

The three minute 30 second clip displays mountainous outlooks, lakeside views, dirt-track vistas and star-dotted skylines in all their colourful glory.

On his Vimeo site, he says: 'This video has some iconic landmarks that we have seen before. I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks.'

His Twitter followers described the photographs as 'breathtaking', 'spectacular' and 'stunning'. One wrote: 'Name your superlative. Just brilliant.'
