Stiliyan Petrov, the Aston Villa midfielder and club captain, has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia less than a week after complaining of feeling ill, following the defeat against Arsenal.

Really shocking and sad news. Stiliyan has always been a great player and he always gives his all on the pitch.

A great player for Celtic too palying with players like Larsson, lennon, Sutton etc
I wish him and his ****** all the best. Truly one of the nicest guys in football
