this game is a couple of years old and I downloaded it at the time but never finished it. Was looking for a new game to play and re-downloaded it.
holy crap. this game is awesome. the sheer depth. [nobabe]the voice[/nobabe] acting and dialogue is so damn impressive and would equal or surpass a serious period piece by hollywood - it perfectly captures the time period (you can just tell they did their homework). technically it's an early PS4 title and may have been a port from the last gen but it still looks amazing. How are rolling seas and your boat's reaction to it not the hardest thing to render in a video game?
This is high seas swashbuckling adventure at it's finest and kicks the shit out of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

And the story is really deep. So far the theme has been freedom and getting rich vs. the authority of the English Crown and those know-betters, the Templars. I sympathize with the protagonist of the story, he just wants to gain his fortune and go home to his wife in Wales.
no spoilers please. enjoying the shit out of this game. you can tell when a game is a labor of love by it's developers and this is the case.
