Saw it before but seemed a little bit set up for me. The confusion begins at the beginning when Bob Bailey says to the asian lads what sounds like ''how many of yous are robbers ?'', this is what many others who watched the video thought and would explain how incensed the asian lads seemed to get. Anyway however much you hate the BNP (even if they try and provoke you) the lad was wrong to spit in his face (disgusting habit) which started the fight although Bob Bailey kicking a man whilst he's down (actually fighting full stop) isn't paricularly admirable either. Everyone in the video are thugs but Bob Bailey should know better as he is an older man who is running to serve the government of this country as an MP, not an SA stormtrooper.

His BNP supperts who watched the video claim he says ''how many of us are there'' but you can also mistake that for what the asian kids allegedly thought, they seemed to react after that so the whole thing was just a farce, it barely made the news here as people got bigger things to worry about like jobs, mortgages the economy etc.

If you remember the Nazis exploited the dire situation in Germany in the 1920s, there was hyper inflation where money was worthless and Germany had been shamed into accepting responsibility for WW1 (Treaty Of Versailles) and were being forced tp pay reparations (ie compensation) to Great Britain and France who would often send troops into Germany and take what they wanted from the Ruhr (Industrial center) leaving the Germans feeling more humiliated and undignified. Hitler offered to change this all which is why Germans began listening to him and just ignoring the anti-Semitic tone of his policies as he blamed the Jews for the economic crisis and the loss of WW1 (he said they controlled the banks who refused to carry on funding the German army in WW1 which was eventually defeated and he felt they colluded with the British who were promising them a Jewish state (Israel) in British controlled Palestine). In the same way the BNP is blaming all of the UKs problems on a multi cultural society (immigration has been a problem the past decade but people have came here since the 1960s and become valuable members of society such as in the NHS but the BNP tries to group all 'immigrants' together). Unfortunately so many people here are too stupid to see how flawed all their policies are and worse still some just vote for them because they don't like the other parties which is a stupid reason to turn to the far right. The BNP are also propagating an anti-muslim campaign which is turning many people against the muslim population who in turn feel threatened and withdraw from society and become increasingly isolated which increases the chances of them becoming more radical (when pushed into a corner) and turning to extremism. The media doesn't help, an extremist muslim march makes front page news, a white supremacist march filled with just as much hate makes a small column on page 11, hardly unbiased reporting.

As a Frenchman I don't give any importance to the fact that he is a politician.
Remember that our president, Nicolas Sarkozy (that I hate by the way) said "Get lost you silly bastard." to a guy who refused to shake hands.
And another politician (Nicolas Bayrou) smacked a kid who was stealing from his pocket in front of the camera.
And no one gave a shit and neither did I.
They're just humans, not saints.
