Are those "FREE MACBOOK" ads too good to be true?

my friend has a ton of free stuff, like computers, ipods, game systems because he clicks on those ads that give away free stuff.

but are they too good to be true? i heard of one of getting a macbook air and all you have to do is complete/order 2 things, most of them being trial offers or pay 5 bucks for shipping.

what's the catch? has anyone ever done these things?

the catch is that you ed up with a macintosh, forever to be ridiculed by everyone who knows something about computers.
