Nailed it. The Japanese are very protective of their culture while still embracing the pop culture of the west. It's like the best of both worlds. Berlin: The tales surfacing from German cities regarding the events of New Year's Eve keep getting worse.

First there was Cologne, where as many as 1000 men thought to be between 18 and 35 years old descended on a central square, breaking into packs of 30 or more that reportedly surrounded, ******** and robbed hundreds of women. Two ***** were reported.

Now, similar, smaller-scale attacks are being reported in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf.

One man on Facebook referred to assistance he claimed to have given to help resettle refugees when he recounted how, despite holding his girlfriend's hand as they walked from Cologne's train station across the square, she was subjected to "men groping her, even under her dress. I looked at this and wondered if this is what we got when I donated half of my closet".

As a German, I look at the bright side:

Now we get flooded by refugees, we get to show if and that we are a new nation, not the **** assholes a majority of people all over the world believe us to be. In my hometown of Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein (The northern german state), we are doing what we cdan, everybody throws in his best effort, and it is not easy, but we manage things well.

Now we can be really proud to be german, and if it took almost a million of refugees, that is alright with me.
