Agree on navel oranges, also really enjoy Chinese/Japanese mandarins. Best apple: Empire but it doesn't beat oranges.

Being lazy, I'm on Team Apple purely out of convenience. But give me a peeled tangerine or mikan, and I'll take that anyday.

As it comes off the tree, oranges beat Apples, but in pie, I'll take Apple pie with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream on a sizzling cast iron plate aka Mexican Apple pie.
