Fucking guy shot and killed an allegedly innocent kid who allegedly punched him in the face and allegedly slammed his head on the ground several alleged times. Allegedly. I'm still gonna shoot anyone who wears a hoodie or eats Skittles anywhere near me.
Anyone see that New Orleans Police Officer who got suspended for basically calling a spade a spade about this shooting? He wrote on twiiter "Act like a thug, die like a thug." And somebody ratted him out. Fucking bullshit. The whole thing is bullshit but I am more outraged by the NOPD and their infringement on the copper's right to free speech than I am about the shooting.

Witnesses are already coming forward and corroborating Zimmerman's version.
And yes, if someone attacks an armed, uniformed officer, sworn or not, they have leaped feet first into the continuum of force. I can't say I'd do the same as this guy but if his story holds up, the kid got exactly what he deserved.
My biggest beef with this is how armchair quarterbacks and keyboard warriors are acting as if they know all the facts, when all we know is what the news tells us. And the news media have used this incident as an excuse to politicize and add their own selfish agenda along with the spin and sensationalism. You know what happens in cases like this? The public gets so full of false information and speculation that it becomes nearly impossible to find a jury pool that isn't tainted, and if the guy ever goes to trial, he'll end up walking. Remember Casey Anthony? OJ? Things got so skewed that they walked. The wise thing would be to let the professionals handle it.

Where did you get this information? Reports from the responding officers state that Zimmerman's face was bloodied and he had grass stains on his back. Witnesses say they saw Zimmerman struggling underneath Martin. Obviously we don't have all the facts. We won't until due process has been served. We aren't investigators.

What bruises did Martin have? There's less emphasis on his defensive wounds than the fact that he was shot dead. We know for a fact that Zimmerman pursued him. The girlfriend claimed that he told her he was being followed. If Zimmerman assaulted him first then it would make sense for Martin to fight back. So if you start a fight and the other hits back you're allowed to pull your gun and shoot him?
You don't know the facts. I don't know the facts. "Defensive wounds"? You clearly watch too many CSI: Kentucky shows. Evidence is collected by law enforcement professionals, not porn forum members. You weren't there. I wasn't there. The teenage girl wasn't there. What we're getting is so many degrees of separation from what happened that nobody knows for sure what happened.
