I too am sceptical when people talk about escaping from an unhappy immoral life by finding religion. Look how many pornstars say they realised the immorality of their lives by finding God (ie Nadia Styles etc). You don't need religion to escape the problems of drinking, clubbing and vanity. If she had said she was happy with her life but was looking for philosophical answers like why are we here? how did life begin? what is the meaning of life? it would have made sense for her looking into religion for those answers.

That's not strictly true, the Qur'an was apparently completed in the year 632, but adam is from the the book of genesis, wich is thought to have been written between 1450 - 1410 B.C.
