why do people in the media and people in everyday life put the porn business down? I started watching porn when I was about 12 and I remember when my friends would come over I would talk about porn and they would just ignore me. anyway they ended up telling everyboday at school the next day (even the girls) and I remember I got made fun of bad. The point is all my life I havent seen anything bad about the porn business. And therefore I love it. The real question is why do alot people hate it so much? I just dont fucking get it?

some people feel that it will lead to irresponsible sexual behavior, such as un-safe sex leading to the spread of STDS.
Another reason is that they think it will lead to a decline in family relationships, and it won't be good for kids to be raised that way.
probably the most legit argument is that it is (can be) derogatory towards women and teaches unrealistic and unhealthy standards and relationships.
going along with that, is targeting the porn industry (as opposed to just the ideas of porn) for abusing people and manipulating them and for bad business practices, unsafe, etc. as well as the chicken and the egg phenomenon where the taboo against porn causes it to be associated with other "shady" and illegal acts, such as drug use/dealing.
the drugs angle also goes along with the emotional/psychological outlook of the people involved relating to some of the things previously mentioned.
I agree with some of these things and not so much with others. but I'm just stating the reasons here, not giving my personal opinion.
I suppose there is also a degree of puritanism where people just accept it as bad because they are told that it is "bad" and don't really have any reason of explanation why, but for a real reason, see the above cited arguments.

You have got to be kidding. Maybe you should look up some sites that report about what´s going on "behind the scenes" in porn. There are lots of selfish shitheads in porn that have no problem with treating people like crap just to make a few extra bucks. Of course most people in porn are nice people but there´s also some really fucked up shit going on. If all porn were like the crap Max Hardcore makes i would probably be out protesting against it as well.

The porn industry has a very huge criminal side to it, especially in countries where the law isn't as well defined, as well as in the countries where the laws are clearly defined. Just because all you see is stars and rainbows as you're squeezing out that last drop before the video ends, doesn't mean that "just having sex in front of a camera" is all the porn industry is about.
The only people that are against porn are religious traditionalists and religious fundamentalists which of course most anti-porn groups are. There are a lot of religious people that love porn not to mention that many US porn stars are religious. The main difference is that religious people that likes porn and religious pornstars are liberated in terms of sex also many of them are also religious but they don’t practise it, don’t follow all the teachings and the usual religious stuff. Porn has been around for thousands of years in many forms way before all of todays current religions whether those guys like it or not.
I am not addicted to porn at all, I don’t look or watch porn everyday and I only watch or look at porn if I feel like it and that can vary. The thing is though the anti-porn groups use the same excuses all the time, the truth is how many people have sex? Millions of people have sex whether they are single, in a relationship or married. How many of those people are either depressed or drug addicts or gets abused or are mentally disturbed, etc? Only a minority and the same thing can be said about pornstars too. The number of couples whether it is a straight couple, a gay/ lesbian couple or a bisexual couple whether they are married or are in relationships is increasing and they don’t have relationship problems at all since porn is now becoming accepted by not just singles but by couples too.
There are bad things going on in the porn industry which needs to be sorted out in order to give it a good public image but the thing is the porn industry is the same as the movie industry, the TV industry and the music industry.
The movie industry, TV and music industries also treat people that work in it like shit, the only time they suck up to them is if only they are a success. I mean you get celebrities that take drugs, get depressed that are treated like shit by the very people that they make money and yet you don’t hear people complaining about those industries.
Since the porn industry makes over 10 billion a year maybe the porn companies should at least donate like 10% to good causes and even that amount could be enough to give them a little bit of a good public image.
I agree with that, things must be done to get rid of the criminal or corrupt side of the porn industry and the sooner that something is done the better. If the fans really care about porn then they should help get rid of the bad things in porn in order to help give it a positive image. I think you should look at it this way: why should you care if some people are against porn? I am 100% sure there are some things in this life that you do not like, and there will be some people asking why you are against it. It is impossible to please everybody, so don't dwell on stuff like this. Just enjoy what you like to do.

I think it would be a lot better if people freaked out about innocent people getting shot and killed in our streets, that would seem to make a little more sense.

I seen someone from that anti-porn group on a tv programme about porn last week on More4 (a TV channel in the UK), I can't remember what the programme was about but it had someone from this anti-porn group saying all the usual crap that these guys have against porn. Just because of the bad things in porn and the types of porn which is illegal, cause of those things it makes the whole porn industry look bad. It also shows that all of the religious anti-porn groups are part of religious traditionalists and religious fundamentalists groups as well since they have the same views. This is proof that all religious traditionalists and religious fundamentalists really hate freedom and democracy deep down and they want to use this to get rid of everyone else's freedoms. I hope that more pro-porn groups and more pro-porn organization emerges to combat these morons. There is a thing called tolerance and acceptance even if you don't like them, I hope those morons learn that. I see or hear things everyday that I don't like whether it's a type of music, TV show or movie, video games, books, etc but I accept and tolerate them cause I know that people may like those things.
But since these guys don't seem to accept that people have the right to do or watch or believe (as long as it's legal) whatever they want and want to control everyone then all we can do is to make them hear our opinions and point of views and what we want.

Max Hardcore is actually a little wierd. His site basically advocates being as nasty and degrading as possible but he himself is a really nice guy and off the set he's this big cuddly teddy bear. He is very nice to his girls and -perhaps b/c the shoots are so hard on them- treats them much better than regular straight porn sites treat their girls.

On one hand there are a lot of people out there that shun and want to eliminate anything that doesn't coincide with their narrow view on morality. They are not just content to criticize but they, even worse, want to enforce their morality onto you and make you live like how they want even when your not hurting anybody else. Often they will make ridiculous claims about porn that anybody with half a brain cell could tell there is something flawed with their thinking.
...On the other hand while probably not as bad overall as the people mentioned above (although that isn't saying much) are some of the people that like porn and some of it's biggest defenders both outside and inside the industry. While I don't think the acts of having sex or being nude are inherently bad or evil, that doesn't mean all the people in the industry that produce the stuff are good or have good motivations for what they do. Because of them things like exploitation, drugs, and just overall crappy business practices (and even worse stuff) are bigger in this industry than any other legal one, and I'm not just talking about the Max Hardcore level of stuff either. A senior member that is no longer on this board once said something similar to the effect that porn has a bigger percentage scumbags in it than any other legal profession in the civilized western world, and he might have very well been right. What I hate about it is that too many in the industry don't care about it and don't try to clean up the problems with it. It's even worse when some of those people automatically label anybody that has even a half-way legitimate complaint about the industry as being part of some right wing or religious conspiracy instead of actually considering that they might be right about some things.
