Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Brutal.

Did anyone hear if the big cement cap worked? Didn't they lower it this morning?

There have been delays on it due to fumes accumulating and the resulting risk of fire. Apparently, they are in the process of lowering it now but they really have no idea if it will work....this has never been done before.

I actually saw the slick while flying from Tampa to Houston yesterday. It nearly made me sick to my stomach....looks like a cancerous tumor in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico.

:(

Good info, thanks man.

This is an entirely shitty situation, no?

It's pretty at least... :(

Just a few months ago I was reading an article about the Louisiana wetland still not bouncing back since Katrina. They were trying to replant with these seed bombs that were to be dropped from planes, but it didn't work and they estimated it'll take a good 20 years.

When this shit is all said and done, I fear the impact's gonna be a lot bigger than we can imagine right now.

Drill, baby drill! What a bunch of fuck ups!

Yep, Louisiana my home state...and people wonder why we drink and party so much down here?:crying:

Terrible... and ironic it happened just a few weeks after "lefty" Obama broke a campaign promise and said he wanted more off shore drilling.

We need to get off oil. Period.

No more environmental disasters.

No more giving money to hateful people in the Middle East.

No more pollution.

hopefully this fucked up situation will make people seriously consider getting past our oil dependence considering how much shit comes from crude it'll be plenty difficult
