"Add new performer" related issues (bugs, etc.)

Hey, all.

(1) When I try to look up Bianca Freire - the newly added performer I suggested - her profile does not show up in the drop-down list of results in the search engine. It does display a couple of links to content featuring her with a total link count of 6 but the performer count is 0 for some reason. I intuitively decided to click on the "Performers (0)" linked text string and - guess what - a page with profile search hits shows up with just her profile's thumbnail. (Needless to say, I was in the regular/umbrella searching mode, not the exclusive Links-searching mode.) Also, in some instances of searching the results do pop up with the hit count of 1, yet her thumbnail does not show up anyway.

While it's great that you can still see her profile in some way, this looks like a bug to me and it does put her in a sort of a searching blind spot.

(2) Another bug, kind of a trivial one, is this: when I'm asked whether the performer has any tattoos and I select "Yes" and complete the suggestion submission that eventually gets approved, if you go to the newly added performer's profile, it will say "Unknown" under "Tattoos". At first I thought I missed that question somehow when I suggested to add Lea Pam, but then I looked at Bianca's profile and realized that this is an actual issue. Either this is a bug or someone is manually populating already provided information (which makes little sense) to the new profile.

Thoughts?

1) They are a transgender model so you must have the wrong search filters applied if trans models are not showing up in search results.

2) They have tattoos set to "unknown" from options of "yes", "no" or "unknown". Just because you filled out details about the specifics of their tattoos, it doesn't mean this value gets set to yes automatically - it has to actually be selected as "yes".

So I have updated it manually, but any edits You Might make to them or anyone else in the future will take some time to be processed by somebody before it starts showing on the bio.

(1) I see. I had Performers with "Babe" ticked by default. Took me a bit to figure it out since the search engine drop-down list has tabs in it.

(2) At least in Bianca's case I actually did select "Yes" for tattoos myself - I distinctly remember that. Regardless, I will try to submit some corrections again, although I have lost a bit of faith in that since I've submitted some corrections to Lea Pam's bio weeks ago, yet those corrections did not get reflected.

Thanks for the effort.

We will have to write a clear, concise guide on how to use the filters on the main site cos people seem to be getting annoyed that they are seeing males etc. when all they want to see is females - it's not a case of it not being possible, it's a case of them not knowing how to do it... or just assuming they can't do anything about it.

And with regards to making changes to people's bios, any change you make has to be approved by a member of staff... so it doesn't update straight away. So if you are still waiting for something to update then it probably hasn't been processed yet. It can take some time because people only deal with one set of changes at a time and there are obviously hundreds and thousands of performers in the database who are receiving edits all the time so it can be difficult to keep up with.
