911 Tells m-m 'Do What You Have To Do': Okla. m-m Sarah McKinley ****s Intruder Justin Martin

A teenaged ****** shot and ****ed an intruder after a 911 operator said she was allowed to defend her ****** *** and herself with *****.

Sarah McKinley, 18, ****ed Justin Martin with a single gunshot wound on New Year's Eve when he ****** his way into her Blanchard, Okla. home and came at her with a long hunting *****, ABC News reports.

The deadly encounter occurred about a week after the young m-m's husband died of cancer, according to TV station KOCO. Martin darkened McKinley's door on the day of her husband's funeral. several days before the shooting He claimed he was a neighbor who wanted to say hello, but she didn't open the door.

Martin returned with an accomplice on Dec. 31 and tried to ***** their way into the modest house. When McKinley heard the men trying to break in, she called 911.

She also holed up in her bedroom with a 12-gauge shotgun and a ****** while she put a bottle in her three-month-old ***'s mouth.

"I've got two guns in my hand -- is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door?" McKinley asked the operator.

"I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby," the dispatcher told McKinley after she asked a second time. The call went on for 21 minutes as the men powered their way into McKinley's house.

Eventually, Martin kicked in the door and charged at her with a *****, but she shot before he could injure her.

At one point, McKinley asked the operator if it was OK to fire her weapon at the intruder.

I can't tell you to do that," the operator said, "but you do what you have to do to protect your baby."

Police found Martin slumped over a couch McKinley used to barricade the door and pronounced him dead on the scene, TV station News 9 reports. They said McKinley's use of ****** was justified.

saw this posted on facebook. good for her. she did the right thing

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
If somebody enters your home by *****, and shows malicious intent towards you or your *****ren, you're definitely justified in defending yourself.

As far as I'm concerned, he got what he deserved.

Seems she had no choice and did what she had to do to protect herself and her baby, obviously the intruders knew her husband had just died so considered her an easy target, how wrong they were. ps Is it usual for police to take that long when someone is trying to ***** entry into your home?

Yes. I tells ya, all the comments being directed to this 21 minute thing, all over the web. When did you guys start assuming that your local police ***** has transporter technology? Big cities - they're doing something else, small towns - they are far away when you call, rural areas - they are really fuckin' far away. A couple years ago I went into the ditch, on ice. It took 2 hours for the cop to get where I was at, because of distance. Very remote, farmland area. Presumably he would have only taken marginally less time if a break-in call was what he was responding too, but it still would have taken a while.

There's many areas of armed self-defense that anti-gunners refuse to talk about. Response time of police is at the top of the list.

Only if she did fire at least one warning shot before shooting the guys.

why? so they can escape, and more than likely come back another day when she lets her guard down? cops arent comin fast enough, put the bastard down and end it. justice, swift and sure.

She absolutely did the right thing. He was an imminent deadly threat to both her and her baby, and she used the appropriate and necessary ***** to defend herself the *****. Good for her and good riddance to the bad guy.

only problem is that she called 911 to see if it was OK...shouldn't have been a concern but overall, well done

i think she called 911 because of the two guys trying to break in, then during the 20+ minute call, she made it known that she was armed and frantically wanted to know if it was ok. youre right, its unneeded, but under the stressful circumstances i can see that happening a lot
