The Famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert by Benny Goodman, Columbia Records catalogue item SL-160, was first issued in 1950.

I sure miss the days back when some classic double-features like, 'The Song Remains The Same' - 'The Wall' -The White Album' - 'Saturday Nigth Fever' ...

You name it!

The danger always was that the artists felt like they just having way too many great tracks after studio work, and surely you, too have bought albums that merely had enough for a single disk, sometimes less.

But some gems stand out and some times, the whole concept of the artists work just calls for the bigger format.

One of the even bigger ones were 'Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More'

I won't go for the Box Sets, that's a whole different thing.

What are your most beloved Double Albums? And: Are YOU still into vinyl?
