40th Anniversary Of The Apollo 11 Moon Landing

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
NASA's first movie. :D

When one sits back and thinks about it that "giant leap for mankind" wasn't really that big after all in any sense but a sentimental one. Not to much came from that. Our society didn't really change. Our engineering didn't really have any revolution or get more than marginally better. There haven't been any gigantic leaps in technology. Our understanding of the laws of nature haven't really progressed that far. We got a little better medical treatment that less and less people that can actually get as time goes on. The world is pretty much how it was then, but maybe even worse, except for the occasional minor technological gadget. Our economy isn't even close to being as good as that period. Humanity is still as hatful and greedy as ever. Everyday products have gotten worse and less durable, but cheaper at the expense of our own jobs and human dignity. We have pushed the environment and the worlds ecosystem to the breaking point. Basically phones got a little more smaller and portable, video games popped up, and computers got better. Considering the amount of things that have gone downhill for us and the world, what a non-giant leap indeed.

I love optimism.
